Biographie Biography
Ich wurde 1984 in Neubrandenburg (DDR) geboren und wuchs in Berlin und seiner Umgebung auf. Nach der Hochschulreife absolvierte ich von 2003 bis 2008 ein gymnasiales Lehramtsstudium mit den Fächern Mathematik und Englisch an der Universität Potsdam. Abgesehen von einer zweijährigen Nebentätigkeit als Gymnasiallehrer für Mathematik widmete ich mich von 2008 bis 2014 meinem Promotionsprojekt unter der Betreuung von Prof. Dr. Thomas Jahnke an der Universität Potsdam. Von 2015 bis 2016 vertrat ich für drei Semester den Lehrstuhl für Grundschulpädagogik/Mathematik and der Humanwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Potsdam. Im Sommersemester 2017 verließ ich die Universität Potsdam, um zunächst eine Professur für Didaktik der Mathematik and Goethe-Universität Frankfurt zu vertreten, bevor ich ab dem Wintersemester 2017/18 zwei Jahre lang als Hochschulprofessor für Mathematik Primarstufe an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Vorarlberg tätig war. Seit Oktober 2019 vertrete ich als ordentlicher Universitätsprofessor die Didaktik der Mathematik an der Universität Klagenfurt.
I was born in Neubrandenburg (GDR) in 1984 and grew up in Berlin and its suburbs. After my higher secondary education, I pursued a teacher study programm for the subjects mathematics and English at the University of Potsdam. Apart from a two-year part-time employment as a grammar school teacher for mathematics, I devoted the years 2008 to 2014 to my doctoral project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thomas Jahnke at the University of Potsdam. From 2015 to 2016 I was a visiting professor for primary school mathematics education at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the University of Potsdam. In summer 2017 I left the University of Potsdam, first to work as a visiting professor for mathematics education at the Goethe University of Frankfurt, then to join the University College for Teacher Training Vorarlberg as a professor for two years. In October 2019 I began my work as a full professor for mathematics education at the University of Klagenfurt.
